In lieu of Superior Court Judge John Bridges's ruling that denied the guaranteeing bonds in order to help pay Town Toyota Center's because it would exceed the city's debt limit...one might wonder what that limit is.
The city of Wenatchee Interim Finance Director Deanne McDaniel says the debt limit is based upon the city's total assessed value.
Based upon recent reports...McDaniel says the city's pre-luminary total assessed value for 2012 is worth over two-point-three-billion dollars.
McDaniel says city debt is classified into several categories such as: unvoted...voted...and total debt limits.
According to McDaniel...the un-voted debt is limit one-point-five percent of the total assessed value equaling almost 35-million dollars ...the voted limit is
