Police say a car theft in Leavenworth may be linked to a stolen license plate from a vehicle in East Wenatchee.
Ashenbrenner says law enforcement is currently looking for the first vehicle with the second vehicles license plates.
Ashenbrenner described the stolen vehicle as a 2000 white GMC Sonoma pick up with a canopy.
The around 1:30 p.m. the next day Ashenbrenner says someone reported that someone had stolen the license plate off of his white GMC pickup.
"Further investigation reveals that the license plate from the first vehicle was left at the scene," said Ashenbrenner.
The stolen license plates on the stolen pickup read "B-0-3-4-4-1-P." (0 is numerical)
Ashenbrenner suggests that if you see the vehicle...don't approach it...call 9-1-1.
