SEATTLE (AP) - Burn bans are posted in six Washington state counties -- King, Pierce, Snohomish, Kitsap, Kittitas and Clark. They prohibit outdoor fires and the use of fireplaces or wood stoves, unless they are the only source of a home's heat. An air stagnation advisory posted in this area has not triggered a burn ban in the Wenatchee Valley but that could change according to Joy Redfield-Wilder with the Washington State Department of Ecology. An incoming storm system that could deliver snow North Central Washington is expected will clear out the stagnant air.
