Winter fun in Leavenworth with the annual Bavarian Ice Fest this weekend. Officials with the Leavenworth Chamber of Commerce say they will have a full slate of activities for kids and adults. Outdoor events include snow sculpture, tug of war, and ice cube scramble for kids six and under, and the famous Smooshing contest. That's were teams of four strap into an eight foot long board and try to maneuver and glide down Front Street. On Sunday, the Leavenworth Winter Sports Club presents the Snow Fun Fest with lots of events at the Leavenworth Ski Hill. The event continues downtown with entertainment and activities, including fireworks and music by the Gazebo at six p.m. For more information and a schedule of events, check out the Chamber's website at "www.leavenworth.org"
