A former Wenatchee woman who escaped from federal custody on Tuesday has been captured. U.S. Marshals and the Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force arrested 47-year-old Sandra Duffy in north Spokane Saturday afternoon, and she is back in the Spokane County Jail.
A press release from the U.S. Marshals Service said anonymous sources helped lead to Duffy's arrest Saturday afternoon around 2 p.m.
Duffy walked away Tuesday from a scheduled medical appointment on Spokane's South Hill while with her attorney.
Duffy was charged last July with Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine. She made the news in Wenatchee in 2008 when she jumped from the Sleepy Hollow bridge in an attempt to escape from Columbia River Drug Task Force officers, who tried to use her to arrest her drug supplier.
