The Wenatchee Valley College will play host to this year's Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration at its Wells Hall Campus theatre Monday.
Eevents including arts and crafts for kids kindergarten through sixth grade...live entertainment...a keynote speech by Brent Grothe of Wenatchee High School as well as civil and social justice awards.
According to the Diversity Advisory Council of Wenatchee...two civil and social justice awards are given to individuals and organizations who have had the most significant impact on people of varying ethnicity and cultural backgrounds.
Organizers say the event had well over one-hundred attendees last year and they hope for an even better turnout Monday.
The celebration will at at 6p.m. at the Wells Hall Theatre on campus.
