Washington state high school seniors graduating this spring have until Feb. 15 to apply for the Andrew York Memorial Scholarship, which is offered to students who are active in programs to prevent drug and alcohol abuse.
The scholarship is managed by the Community Foundation of North Central Washington and honors Chelan PUD journeyman lineman Andrew York who died in 2000 after being hit while on the job by a drunken driver.
Applications are available on the Community Foundation’s website at www.cfncw.org.
