A film documentary that investigates an alarming decline of honeybees and its impact on fruit production will be shown at the Wenatchee Valley Museam this (Tuesday) evening.
The 90-minute film documents the increasing prominence of Colony Collapse Disorder...a condition that currently effects 30-percent of the world's bee population.
Wiman and officials with the Wenatchee Valley Bee Keepers Association will discuss the effect pesticides have on bees and provide a local perspective on an international problem.
The film, which starts at seven p.m., is sponsored by the Wenatchee Chapter of Bee Keepers and will be shown by the museum...the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust and Trust For Public Land.
The museum is asking for a five-dollar donation.
