WENATCHEE, Wash. – The Wenatchee Wild defeated the Fresno Monsters Friday at the Town Toyota Center, 4-2. It was Wenatchee’s fourth straight win and eighth win in the last nine games. After Fresno opened the scoring, the Wild went on to score the next two markers to take a 2-1 lead. Trace Redmond and Chris Kerr lit the lamp for the home team. Trevor Husch scored what would count as the eventual game-winner with 9:14 remaining in the second period when he knocked in a pass from Blake Saylor. Blake Roubos scored an insurance goal for the Wild 2:54 into the third period when he cleaned up a rebound. Greg Lewis stopped 22 of the 24 shots he faced to earn his eighth win of the season. Wenatchee (21-10-4) will conclude its home series against Fresno (16-13-8) Saturday. Faceoff is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Pre-game on 560 KPQ begins at 6:45 p.m.
