WENATCHEE, Wash. – Forward Jacob Barber returned and defenseman Tyler Rostenkowski made his debut Friday with the Wenatchee Wild, but it wasn’t enough as the Kenai River Brown Bears picked up a 2-0 victory at the Town Toyota Center.
Austin Severson stopped all 27 shots he faced to earn his second shutout of the season. Greg Lewis made 23 saves on 25 shots but suffered the loss despite making a couple difficult saves in the second frame, including one with his left toe, to keep the Wild in contention.
The Wild (21-12-4) will try to force a split in this weekend’s 2-game series against the Brown Bears (20-15-2) Saturday. Faceoff is slated for 7:05 p.m. Pre-game on 560 KPQ gets underway around 6-45p.m.
