Low income residents can again apply for rental assistance through the Section 8 Choice Voucher Rental Assistance program. The waiting list opened February 27th for the first time in two-years and, if you qualify, now is the time to apply. The Housing Authority of Chelan County and the City of Wenatchee is accepting applications until 5:00 P.M. February 10th. The Federal housing program provides housing assistance to low-income renters and homeowners. Tthe waiting list is limited to only 300 people in Chelan and Douglas counties. Through the program...tenants pay 30-percent of their adjusted income per month. Applications must be mailed only and postmarked no earlier than January 27th of 2012 and no later than 5:00 P.M. February 10th of 2012. Applications can be sent to CCWHA, PO Box 172 in Wenatchee with the zip code of 98807.
