Four suspects are in custody and a fifth is being sought in connection with a foiled burglary attempt in Quincy. Police say it happened last Thursday (Jan 26th) evening at a residence on Birch Street when the tenant heard a rustling sound in his living room.
The victim...Nando Carter... describes the ordeal, "I had never seen these people in my life so I took my snowboard and hit one of them in the back," said Carter, 'then they ran out the door and that's when I said, "hey you you aren't going anywhere."
Police arrested all four suspects within minutes of receiving the victim's call. Also a number of items such as a gold watch...shoes...and other items were believed to have been stolen from the home were also recovered.
18 year old Francisco Medina...a 16 year old male and two 17-year old males were booked into the Grant County Jail and Grant County Juvenile Youth Center for Residential Burglary Theft in the 1st Degree.
Police are now searching for a possible fifth suspect who they believe was also involved in the burglary.
