In reaction to the Washington State School Board's School Accountability Index Ratings area school officials say the evaluation doesn't necessarily reflect the actual performance of schools.
North Central Educational Service District Assistant Superintendent Cindy Duncan, "I'm not sure it gives you a good picture of every single school and every single students, I think there more factors to look at."
Eastmont School District Superintendent Garn Christensen says he's not content over how his schools rank, "I would always like to see Eastmont schools at the top."
Two Eastmont School ranked as Very Good...those being Robert Lee Elementary and Kenroy Elementary...20-percent were placed in the "Good" category...50-percent were rated as "Fair" and the remaining ten-percent were struggling.
All schools in Wenatchee School District were rated as "Good" or "Fair."
Both Duncan and Christensen say its important to look at overall trends rather than year to year comparisons.
