Opening arguments have been delivered in the re-trial of a Manson man accused of shooting his long-time friend. Steven Swinford's first trial in Chelan County Superior Court ended in a hung-jury last October. Swinford admitted to shooting Paul Ramey at an apartment the two shared in Manson when he called 911 immediately following the incident on January 28th 2011. Prosecutors contend the shooting was motivated by an argument over an I-Pod. Swinford claims he shot Ramey in self defense after he said he saw his roommate reach for a gun next to his chair. Swinford is charged with second degree murder.
