A number of high school's in our area are holding graduation ceremonies Friday. Eastmont High School seniors will receive their sheepskins at the Town Toyota Center. That runs from six to eight p.m. Across the river Wenatchee High School's 108th commencement exercises get going at the Apple Bowl at eight tonight. Principal Mike Franza says the class of 2012 has made their mark.
The ceremony will close with a three minute fireworks display at about ten p.m Residents who live near the Apple Bowl, and have pets, are advised that the pyrotechnics may disturb their four legged friends. A call to the District office at noon indicated that the plan calls for the ceremony to take place at the Apple Bowl, although contingency plans are in place.
Cashmere High School's graduation ceremony runs from six to eight p.m. tonight at the High School gym and the Cascade High School's big event is set for Saturday at eight p.m. at the Peshastin-Dryden Field. If the weather turns bad the event may be moved indoors to the High School.
