Officials with Hospitality House, who house homeless people locally, held a dedication ceremony Friday for their newest endeavor, Hospitality Heights. Hospitality House executive director Jim Zumini says the project helps fill an important need.
Among the dignitaries in attendance was Washington State Attorney General Rob McKenna. He first heard about the project last August from a Hospitality House board member and thinks it's a model that other communities should emulate.
The four manufactured homes are the first phase of the project. The long-range plan is to place another handful of homes on the property. The first families are set to move into Hospitality Heights within a few days.
