SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - The National Weather Service has a severe thunderstorm watch in effect for most of Eastern Washington and northern Idaho until 8 p.m. Friday.
Forecasters say storms may produce damaging wind gusts, large hail, frequent lightning and very heavy rainfall that could cause flash floods.
Storms are expected to track from the Columbia Basin and the Blue Mountains north and east across the Palouse and Spokane and Coeur d'Alene areas by mid-afternoon.
