Fire crews continue to make progress on the Crane Road Fire, west of Bridgeport. Incident Information Officer Dan Garner says the blaze, estimated at 13 thousand acres is still 80 percent contained, but there are lines around the fire. He says crews will be out again today securing those lines, working towards full containment, perhaps by today. He adds people in the area can anticipate continued burning in the interior of the fire for several days. The fire, located across the Columbia River from Pateros, started Wednesday afternoon. Garner says seven outbuildings burned on the first day of the fire, but no homes have been lost.
