Chelan County Sheriff's deputies used spike strips to stop a driver who was fleeing from Wenatchee police early Sunday morning. Sheriff Brian Burnett says a Wenatchee police officer pulled over the suspect around two a.m. near Second Street and Wenatchee Avenue. The suspect then sped off and the pursuit was stopped for safety reasons. Burnett says deputies used spike strips to stop the suspect on Highway 97-A near Chelan.
The 20 year old suspect was booked into the Chelan County Regional Justice Center on suspicion of Driving Under the Influence and attempting to elude a police officer.
