The search for a man who jumped into the Columbia River near Desert Aire last weekend, and did not resurface has been scaled back. Grant County Sheriff Tom Jones says in spite of efforts from several officers and agencies, the man's body has not yet been found. Jones says the Sheriff's office will continue to routinely patrol the river and shoreline with the hope of recovering the man's body. No further dive searching will take place. At the request of the family, Jones says they are not publicly releasing the name because some of the victim's family is traveling abroad and have not yet been told the man is missing.
