08/28/12 Blewett Pass Crash Sends Bremerton Mother and Daughter to Hospital
Authorities say a joy ride on an ATV turned into a scary situation for a Bremerton family on Blewett Pass Sunday. 46-year old Brenda Bowlby was piloting the 4-wheeler down a steep embankment with her 12-year old daughter riding as passenger when they lost control of the vehicle. Sergeant Kent Sisson of the Chelan County Sheriff's office says the quad was heading down a primitive road when Bowlby ran over some rutting in the roadway. Sisson says the mother broke her ankle and dislocated her shoulder and the daughter sustained bruises and abrasions. Riding ahead of Brenda was Brian Bowlby, the woman's husband who immediately called 911. Both subjects were transported to Central Washington Hospital for treatment.
