A body was found in a pickup that was inside a burning garage Friday morning in Rock Island. Douglas County Sheriff Harvey Gjesdal says dispatchers received a report of a structure fire in the 10 block of North Garden in Rock Island around 9-30a.m. Gjesdal says a deputy was first on the scene.
Gjesdal says the fire was very intense and at this time there is no conclusive evidence as to the identity of the person found in the pickup. The body was taken to Central Washington Hospital pending an autopsy.
