The popular Heather Lake Trailhead, located in the Lake Wenatchee area, closed Saturday for renovation. Robin DeMario with the Okanogan Wenatchee National Forests says visitors have requested additional amenities, such as additional parking, for years.
The Heather Lake Trailhead will be relocated a quarter mile down from its current location with the portion of the current road converted into a trail.
