Firefighters are building and strengthening lines on the Wenatchee Complex of fires. Fire information officer Mick Mueller says most of the active firefighting work is taking place on the Cashmere Mountain and Peavine Fires.
Mueller says elsewhere on the blaze, which has burned over 56 thousand acres, (56,478), crews are doing mop up and rehabilitation work. The Wenatchee Complex of fires is still at 60 percent containment. Mueller says full containment is not expected until there is a "season ending weather event". The forecast doesn't call for measurable rain until late next week.
