Chelan County Sheriff Brian Burnett is preparing a budget amendment to present to County Commissioners this week. Burnett says his overtime budget has taken a big hit in recent weeks because of the area's fires. He says most of that can be recovered from Federal Emergency Management Agency and the U.S.Forest Service.
Burnett says his figures show that to date Chelan County Sheriff's Deputies have worked 16 hundred hours of overtime that they'll hope to recover from FEMA and 369 hours they'll hope to recoup from the U.S. Forest Service.
