Unprecedented wildfire conditions and not mismanagement is the cause of lingering poor air quality in the Wenatchee area. Wenatchee Complex Fire spokesman Mick Mueller says that's also why officials don't expect the 56-thousand acre blaze to be fully contained until December first. Many in the Wenatchee Valley are becoming increasingly frustrated with the unhealthy air quality leading some to complain that not enough is being done to put the fire out or that the managers are using it as a prescribed burn. But Mueller explains why that's not the case . .
Mueller added that some of the areas that continue to burn within the fire perimeter are in treacherous terrain that are inaccessible to firefighters.
