The first measurable rain storm of the season also dumped some snow in the Cascades this (Tue) morning. The moisture also dampened the areas still burning in the Wenatchee Complex Fire.

And, while the rain and snow brings some relief for the parched landscape, its still not enough to put the fires out.

The rain has served to reduce the threat of wildfires on the forest. As a result, Demario says campfire restrictions have been lifted in all of the forest ranger districts on the Wenatchee and Okanogan National Forest.
