Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest officials say area wildfires have prevented fall prescribed burning.
Weather permitting . . .forest officials say burning efforts will begin in the Entiat Ranger District next week and will run until mid-November.
Assistant Fire Management Officer Aaron Rowe says crews will burn 1400-acres between the Brennegan Creek . . .Roaring Ridge and Lower Tyee areas.
Prescribed fires are part of the forest's comprehensive Forest Restoration Strategy which reduces the threat of wildfires.
