Wenatchee has renewed its jail contract with Chelan County. The City Council ratified the pact, which includes a three percent cost increase, at last night's meeting. Unlike Douglas County which has opted to transfer its inmates to Okanogan County, Mayor Frank Kuntz says he's satisfied with the way the County has addressed the City's needs.
The City's new jail service contract totals 1.75 million dollars which is a three percent increase over what's being paid with the current year budget.
