Democratic Gubernatorial hopeful Jay Inslee was criticized Friday in a Seattle Times editorial that calls the former Congressman's plans for funding education, "wishful thinking". When asked how to raise the $1 billion down payment needed under a Washington Supreme Court ruling — the Democratic candidate for governor said in the Oct. 11 debate, “We do have a secret sauce here, and that is innovation.”
Inslee said in a KPQ News interview that his four point plan would rely on economic growth and jobs instead of taxes..
The Times op-ed piece said, "For a political candidate to promise benefits from future innovation that he doesn’t know about and can’t make happen is to engage in wishful thinking."
Rob McKenna agrees . .
McKenna was in Wenatchee Friday as part of his statewide RV tour in advance of the November 6th election.
