Christmas tree permits are now on sale at all Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest ranger stations and the forest headquarters. Forest Service spokeswoman Robin DeMario says each permit allows you to cut one tree, with a height limit of 15 feet, or dig a small live transplant tree. She says maps of where you can harvest your tree are available as well.
The permits are five dollars, with a limit of two per family.
