Leading up to Tuesday's election . . .auditors offices in Chelan and Douglas Counties have seen a surge of ballots over the past week. Chelan County Auditor Skip Moore says the ballot turnout grew from 26-percent a week ago to 59-percent Monday. Moore says voter returns are expected to surpass returns seen in 2008 . . .
Douglas County's Elections Supervisor Marty Whitehall counted nearly 10-thousand ballots Monday . . .
Whitehall says 2012's results are on par with what was seen in the August Primary.
