A man was arrested Sunday in connection with a stabbing at a Chelan home. Chelan County Sheriff, Brian Burnett says the incident happened shortly before 10 am at a home on Highland Street.
Witnesses told deputies that the suspect, identified as Victor H. Rodriguez, entered the home after knocking on the front door then started stabbing Reginald Ebbs who was visiting the homeowner.
Sheriff Burnett says deputies learned the two men had been quarreling over a portable heater and twenty dollars. It was reported that a friend of the victim stopped the stabbing by striking Rodriguez in the head with framing hammer. The suspect fled but was later located and arrested. Ebbs was stabbed three times in the upper torso with scizzors. He was taken to the Chelan Hospital for treatment.
