"Drive Sober . . . or Get Pulled Over." That's the new title for the annual DUI emphasis patrols by law enforcement during the holiday season. They began Wednesday in Chelan, Douglas, and Okanogan Counties, and run through New Year's Day. Wenatchee Police Captain Doug Jones tells KPQ News the patrols take a targeted approach:
The patrols are funded through the Washington State Traffic Safety Commission, and include the State Patrol, Wenatchee and East Wenatchee Police Departments, and the Chelan, Douglas and Okanogan County Sheriff's Offices.
