No injuries, but a big rig made a big mess late Wednesday night in the Trinidad area. Douglas County Sheriff Harvey Gjesdal says a truck with a 53 foot trailer was jackknifed at Mansfield Road and Columbia View Drive. The truck driver told deputies he had gotten lost and tried to turn around, but in the process he ran over a fountain and retaining wall of a private residence. The homeowner told deputies the damage to her property was about $10,000.
