Chelan County Commissioners are putting out the call for candidates seeking appointment to the District Court Bench that was vacated by Judge Alicia Nakata when she was elected to the Superior Court bench. Commissioners are currently accepting applications from prospective candidates. To be eligible you must be a registered voter in Chelan County and you must be a attorney licensed to practice in Washington State. The successful applicant must be able to leave current caseloads and practices at a reasonable time in order to assume the District Court judicial role effective no later than January 14, 2013.
Applications packets must be received by the County administrator no later than 5 p.m. on Thursday, December 6.
