Its been two steps forward and three steps back for Chelan County PUD line crews and their efforts to restore power to homes in the Lake Wenatchee area. Steve Hair reports. .
Nearly two thirds of homes that lost power during Monday's storm were back on line yesterday afternoon, But PUD officials say more trees toppled last night as more heavy snow fell overnight. PUD Spokeswoman Kimberly Craig says about 17-hundred customers are affected. Utility officials reported yesterday afternoon that crews restored power to 1,300 residents in the Ponderosa, Chiwawah River, River Pine and North Shore areas Wednesday. The setback will mean another full day of work for PUD line crews and County road workers.
