Wenatchee Police say a local man in jail for the attempted kidnapping of an 11-year old girl at the Wenatchee Valley College late Saturday morning. Sgt. Cherie Smith says the girl was walking past the campus fountain when she was grabbed from behind . . .
Smith says if it wasn't for the security guard, the girl would be missing. . .
The suspect, a 42 year old Leavenworth man, was charged with attempted kidnapping in the first degree. There were no injuries.
