Nakata was sworn into office by her predecessor Monday morning and afterwards said she was ready to hit the ground running. Nakata says she holds Judge Bridges in high regard and she complimented the way he ruled from the bench. Nakata will be replaced on the District Court Bench by Roy Fore. The former deputy prosecutor was appointed to the position and he was also sworn in along with the newly elected officials Monday morning. Joining Fore and Nakata at Monday's swearing in ceremony were superior court judges Chip Small and Leslie Allen who won reelection after running unopposed in the November election. Also taking their oaths of office were Chelan County Commissioners Ron Walter and Doug England, and Assessor, Deanna Walter.
