No word yet on what caused a fire that sent two Peshastin residents to Central Washington Hospital Friday night and snarled traffic on Highway Two in Peshastin for more than three hours. The fire, in a two-story structure, was first reported before 5:30 Friday night just west of the Peshastin Bridge. Chelan County Fire District 6 Chief Phil Moser:
Moser says two people were inside, they were taken to CWH. No word on their injuries, no identification available either. Traffic on Highway Two was snarled, particularly eastbound from Leavenworth. After about an hour, flaggers were able to detour traffic onto North Road. The roadway reopened in the area around 9 p.m.
