Icy roadways led to a number of accidents over the weekend. The State Patrol reports that five people were injured in a head-on collision Saturday afternoon near Peshastin. According to the Patrol, 15 year old Faith White of Lakewood was driving an SUV southbound on State Route 97 when she lost control of her vehicle. She over-corrected and her 1998 Mercury Villager crossed the center line, hitting a northbound car. White and her passenger, a 27 year old Lakewood woman were taken to Central Washington Hospital. The driver of the Jeep she hit, 54 year old Ruben Rivera-Sotelo and his two passengers were also taken to CWH. Their status was not immediately available. Charges against White are pending.
