A couple of Wenatchee organizations want locals active this month as they prepare to put on the first Winterfest this January.
Hosted by the Wenatchee Downtown Assocation and the city's Parks and Recreation Department, the event celebrates winter recreation in the valley; here's the WDA's Linda Haglund . . .
The winter themed event will be held on Wenatchee Avenue and in Centennial Park on Saturday January 26th from 11a.m. to 4p.m.
Activities include crafts, hay hides, snowshoe demonstrations, karaoke, winter recreation vehicles and more.
The Wenatchee Pediatric Dentistry sponsored event will also feature a "Bundle Up" 5 mile run at 11a.m.
