Chelan County PUD officials say wireless is not the best option to restore broadband service at Lake Wenatchee. Mike Coleman, the PUD's fiber and telecom managing director says the District will find the most cost-effective option for rebuilding the heavily damaged fiber-optic system serving the south shore area.
About 64 customers in the Lake Wenatchee south shore area have been without internet, telephone and television services since a week before Christmas. Coleman says it's not yet known when service will be restored to those customers.
