A Douglas County Port District official says a planned runway extension at Pangborn Memorial Airport may have to be postponed. KPQ News Director Steve Hair reports.
Commissioner Jim Huffman says a variety of issues have combined to force airport officials to rethink their strategy. Among them a downturn in the airline industry. Huffman added that the cost of building a longer runway has also increased due to Federal cuts to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) funding.
