Wenatchee's credit rating has seen its ups and downs following the Town Toyota Center's finances. But Wenatchee mayor Frank Kuntz' efforts to persuade credit rating agencies to re-examine Wenatchee financial future resulted in some surprises. Kuntz told the city council last night that officials with the Moody's rating agency are upgrading the city's general obligation bonds yet downgrading the city's water and sewer bond rating.
Kuntz says the ratings do not affect the city's day to day operations.Kuntz told the council the city is not expected to go out for bonding this year, but may look at doing so in 2014.
