A new Wintertime festival hits the ground running Saturday. The Wenatchee Downtown Assocation and the city's Parks and Recreation Department are putting on the Wenatchee Valley Winterfest. The WDA's executive director Linda Haglund says the program focuses on winter sports and family oriented fun. In addition to displays and demonstrations of snowmobiles and snowshoeing, there will be a bonfire with s'mores, hayrides, food, kids activities and a 5K fun run.The program runs from 11a.m. to four p.m. at Centennial Park in Wenatchee.
