01/28/13 Wenatchee Budget Woes Lessen (Audio)

With funding of the Town Toyota Center secured, it will be a lot easier for Wenatchee city officials to balance this year's budget. Mayor Frank Kuntz says there are still a lot of issues to be resolved. One of those is the escalating cost of providing health care coverage for the city's employees. On Friday's KPQ Morning Update Mayor Kuntz says the goal is to reach a deal with the city's three main unions that is fair, to the employees and the city.

Kuntz estimates negotiations with union officials could start in a month or so. He says he's already met with the attorney they will probably hire to lead the negotiations.
