East Wenatchee police responded to multiple calls regarding a collision on Jarvis Avenue just before 9:50 pm Wednesday night.

According to Chief Rick Johnson, when officers arrived, a GMC Sierra was stalled between two driveways with a female in the passenger seat and the driver standing outside the vehicle.

Law enforcement then determined that the driver, a 29-year-old East Wenatchee man, was traveling down Jarvis Avenue when he struck two parked cars, a tree, and some landscaping rocks before coming to rest on multiple utility boxes.

Johnson said, "One of the vehicles that was hit happened to be owned by the State Patrol. There was a detective in the area that did assist our guys in the investigation."

The driver was eventually arrested for DUI.

The crash knocked out power to about 1,000 residences south of Grant Road between South Nevada and South Houston. According to the Douglas County PUD, the outage lasted roughly an hour.
