Deadline to Remove Studded Tires Approaching

Cars with studded tires have a little more than a week to get them removed. Jeff Adamson with the Washington State Department of Transportation says the deadline is Saturday, March 31st.

Failure to get the tires off could result in a $136 ticket.

Adamson says this deadline applies to fewer and fewer cars.

Adamson says there is nothing currently in the forecast that would lead WSDOT to extend that deadline.
