40-Acre Fire Contained Along I-90 East of Vantage Bridge

Fire crews from Grant County, state and federal agencies responded to a brush fire along I-90 just east of the Wild Horse Monument Sunday afternoon.

The Grant County Sheriff's Office says the blaze reached 40 acres in size before it was contained.

The State Patrol did close the right lane of eastbound I-90 during the attack.

It's unclear what caused the fire.

State crews stayed on the scene into the night releasing Grant County firefighters.
